What’s Your Adaptability Factor?

Hey friends, I was thinking about you and wanted to take a moment to encourage you.

It’s so much easier isn’t it? When your day is all neatly and nicely planned out and when you have your schedule set in a way that you can pick up and go? It must be nice when you can simply cross things off your list until they are done right?

Sounds ideal….

Until life hits you square between the eyes and then what???

Maybe we shouldn’t question this…after all LIFE continues to happen whether we are prepared for it or not.

Problem V. Opportunity (Part II)

The positive to being in this shop, I was able to identify a need and fill it. The lady serving me had been wanting to get in touch with someone that sells the type of vehicle she is looking for. I was able to refer her to the person we bought our last vehicle from. She, in turn, gave us 10.00 off and 20% off our entire bill. I saved nearly 50.00 by just taking the time to cultivate a relationship with her. From there, I was able to still get to the appointments I had scheduled that day, and get our daughter from school. In between, I had somehow managed to get my tire looked at with a local tire store; they indicated the estimated wait time to be at least minimum 2 hours long. The availability to wait, unfortunately, was not there. I had appointments that I could not miss.

After our daughter’s appointment, I went to the other side of town. In between my appointments, I was able to have the same company, different location, take a look at the tire. I thought I was there to get air and continue on from there with my day. There were already waiting customers ahead of me, but the gentleman assisting me must have had compassion and fixed the tire for me anyway even with people waiting! Rather than charging me for an entirely new tire, he found the root of the problem, corrected the situation, and charged me NOTHING! My jaw dropped to the floor!

Moment of Wisdom (Part II)

****Another important side note to the previous post from earlier in the week: the blessing previously discussed, came we truly believe because we decided to participate in the year of the Shemitah. We forgave those that owed us debts and prayed to be forgiven and released of those debts in which we owed. We have covered and sealed everything with special prayer and anointing oil believe that God would truly bless us for listening and applying the instructions He had given us. It really does work, now we are receiving blessings right and left! It has been nothing but a bunch of open doors from here! We are just walking through the doors and enjoying what God has been doing without striving and controlling the situation. All we have done is 1) only followed the directions and instructions that God shared with us and nothing else. 2) We applied the instructions and took action. 3) When we were not doing the instruction in front of us we learned to rest, have fun, and LIVE! We are embracing life so freely and hearing from Him so much more clearly. We cannot begin to fathom what is to come next, it’s going to be such an exciting year! I feel honored to share in all of this with you friends! Until next time!!!!

In Lieu Of What’s Missing, Prosper Anyway!

Hey friends! I was just thinking about you and realized that I hadn’t done a blog post dealing with food and time management in a REALLY LONG time. I was inspired to write this tonight after I made a special treat for my family and it dawned on me to share this with you.

Do you want to be entrusted with more territory? I know I do! It starts with being entrusted with the little things even in your pantry/kitchen. Our family wants to be increased with more and it’s really been laid on my heart to truly be sure we are not wasting food by throwing it away because it got too old and we didn’t eat the leftovers or some of it started getting moldy so I threw it out, that kind of thing. I must confess, in the past this is what happened in our house from time to time even though I have been diligent in meal planning and shopping with what is only on our list! I really was convicted to stop letting cash go in the trash, especially when it came to food!
