Hey friends thinking of you today! This weeks topic is on trust. Trust is something that involves two people and is earned. It takes time to trust. With proper rapport building, your relationships are destined to prosper beyond your wildest dreams. Without trust, you really have nothing to go on. What relationship do you know of that needs some tweaking and improvements in your life?
Words from my long time mentor and coach, Dani Johnson:
Need a reality check of what too much work can do….
Too many hours at work and feeling that there is never enough hours leads to anxiety and stress. Stress leads to burn out. Burn out leads to nervous break downs, heart problems, strokes, heart attacks, self-loathing, resentment, rejection, bitterness, an unloving feeling towards self and others, perfectionism, idolatry, etc. Chemically speaking, your hormones can become improperly balanced. The chemicals that make you happy and calm such as Melatonin and Serotonin go down as Cortisol increases and causes negative emotions and reactions to things that would not otherwise normally bother nor effect you in such a way.
Moment of wisdom: I was not always the most patient individual; especially when it came to purchases. I was a very impulse buyer and sometimes ‘wants’ were ‘needs’ even though technically they were still ‘wants’! I have really prayed to slow down and use discernment and also to give myself a window of time to see if it is really what I want. Instead of taking away now from living expenses, I now save for purchases that I truly want and budget for what the needs are if a ‘true’ need really arises unexpectedly. I now have wisdom and clear distinction as to what a ‘need’ vs. a ‘want’ really is!
Yes I know…some of you are probably thinking, ‘not another God post’….if this is you skip on and don’t read, this is your warning! I can’t help but to share God’s goodness with you! Oh my goodness…even since earlier, we had two more prayers answered! My jaw is hitting the floor! I cannot believe what I am seeing and hearing! Please my friends, if you are struggling or have an area of weakness, if there is something you are really wanting God to do in your life, please continue to ask and seek God, be relentless and do not give up, be that persistent four year old child, keep asking and asking! Eventually you will get to a spot that you begin believing it and receiving it in faith. When you start walking the true walk of faith with full belief for God to supply, that’s when your miracle comes! Sometimes that miracle is at the last second and sometimes in your darkest hour when you no longer know what to do or how to respond, that’s when you ask that final time and watch God do something big! Once it is in His hands, release it into His care. Continue to ask and believe, but know that God is listening to your requests! He delights in blessing you, not because of your efforts, works, or what you do, but because He is God and He loves you! It is His unconditional love that supplies all your cares and needs. Believe me He knows what you are going through. I feel someone might need to hear this…there is someone reading this that has a belief that God is to be feared and the fear has been shaken into them. They are not sure if God really loves them or if they deserve to be loved by Him. I am here to share that God wants you to know as you read this, He is right beside you whispering into your ear today, ‘I love you my precious child’. Receive His love and rest in Him today!
The moment you fall to our to your knees and you look to heaven above, you can no longer do this so-called ‘life’ on your own; certainly not on your own strength. This is a definitive decision making moment. One of two choices must be decided upon, to work in your own strength which has landed us here in misery, insanity, with an end that only leads to death and destruction, OR to make the decision to surrender and to let the Lord our God carry you.
What does it mean to let God carry you? First, it means surrendering yourself to Him. This means you rest and acknowledge that He is and He has your every care. This is your turn to let go and acknowledge that you trust Him enough to care for your needs. He already knows exactly what you need, but He will not do so without your permission. You have the ultimate choice. When you choose Him not only do you surrender your ways, but you also surrender your thoughts. You make a choice to leave all anxiousness with Him. Your thoughts now become His thoughts and you are allowing Him to do a work in your life. You also give Him the authority to work it out for good in His timing, not your own.
