Last post we were discussing the definition of coveting and how it can take root in our lives. To rid ourselves of anything that could possibly be perceived as coveting is to stop looking at what others have and comparing your fruit to theirs. You may have been given the same opportunity to flourish, but you are in a different season or you might just have more to overcome, to learn from so that when it is time, you have the maturity, knowledge, and understanding to know what to do with what you have been entrusted with.
Hi friends! Last time we were talking about success and creating results. The journey to creating results can seem so smooth until a pit fall comes your way. A pit fall is something that must change in you first in order to move forward and create the life you truly desire. Lets take a look and see which one of these pit falls best describes you and how you will overcome it.
The first pit fall is false pride and ego. False pride and ego is over-estimating and compensating your abilities. When you size up your competition to match their credentials, when you obsess to be better than everyone else and strive to achieve results, when the results and success that you have aren’t good enough, when you think you are already better than everyone else and don’t need any more skills and training because you already know it; these are all classic signs of false pride and ego. Just remember one thing, pride always comes before a fall.
Need a reality check of what too much work can do….
Too many hours at work and feeling that there is never enough hours leads to anxiety and stress. Stress leads to burn out. Burn out leads to nervous break downs, heart problems, strokes, heart attacks, self-loathing, resentment, rejection, bitterness, an unloving feeling towards self and others, perfectionism, idolatry, etc. Chemically speaking, your hormones can become improperly balanced. The chemicals that make you happy and calm such as Melatonin and Serotonin go down as Cortisol increases and causes negative emotions and reactions to things that would not otherwise normally bother nor effect you in such a way.
A word to encourage you with my friend. Your worth is not determined on your circumstances. Your worth is determined by how you go after your dreams and how you live your life. When you make a decision to change the course of path and direction, you are going to hit walls and opposition. Whatever you do, do not cave to settling. Do not cave into mediocrity. Don’t settle for less when you know you have a desire that is deep and passionate within.
When you know you are meant for more, when you know you are meant to soar, go and flourish wildly. You might make mistakes, you might trip and fall on occasion, but pull yourself up by your bootstraps and give your life a second chance. You never know if you give up, you never know if you don’t keep going. Do you really want to live your life wishing if you had? Do you really want to live your life by your past? Better yet, what didn’t happen? It’s never too late! Go after it and go BIG! Be all the way in and committed to whatever it is you are passionate and what you want to do. The calling on your life is design. Go search for the real you and let your gifts out! I believe in you! Until next time….
About a week and a half ago, my family and I decided to challenge ourselves to increase our vegetable intake. Some may know that we have been eating healthy for quite some time on a special plan called, Trim Healthy Mama (THM). It is a biblical plan that teaches you how to feed your body to fuel it so that it functions properly. This plan is most commonly known for the positive effects that it has had in helping many with weight loss and also reducing certain health symptoms. To learn more about this plan you can visit, www.trimhealthymama.com you can also go onto Facebook, go to the ‘Search’ area and type in ‘Trim Healthy Mama’ and ask to join the group to keep up with information, recipes, and updates.
