Hi friends! Last time we were talking about success and creating results. The journey to creating results can seem so smooth until a pit fall comes your way. A pit fall is something that must change in you first in order to move forward and create the life you truly desire. Lets take a look and see which one of these pit falls best describes you and how you will overcome it.
The first pit fall is false pride and ego. False pride and ego is over-estimating and compensating your abilities. When you size up your competition to match their credentials, when you obsess to be better than everyone else and strive to achieve results, when the results and success that you have aren’t good enough, when you think you are already better than everyone else and don’t need any more skills and training because you already know it; these are all classic signs of false pride and ego. Just remember one thing, pride always comes before a fall.
Have you ever felt qualified or led to do certain things in your life? Were your heart strings ever tugged? Imagining the feeling of something stirring inside can be very exciting. These desires that are being laid on your heart were put there to give you strength and endurance for the calling that has been placed upon your life. As you contemplate or even take action steps towards what your destiny may look like, things can seem smooth and sailing; everything is going just the way you are wanting.
Just as you are picking up momentum….
There is a bump and next an obstacle in your path. You were sure you had everything figured out and all the pieces were put in place for you had already thought through the possibilities. How do you handle the challenge of overcoming that? Do you remain even-keeled and press through carefully seeking action steps to rectify the situation OR do you let your emotions get the best of you to the point that you begin self-sabotaging in getting in the way?
Picking up from where we left off last blog post (for those that have not read the previous post, please be sure to go back and read so that you may follow along)…let me tell you a little something about worry. Worry is another word for Anxiety. Anxiety is excessive concern in something that brings on an emotional state. It can also come in the form of reasoning or continuously defending, justifying actions. Reasoning can be always trying to figure out something, always wanting to fix personal situations of self or others. When we operate in these things it can bring on confusion. When we are confused, we can experience a loss of clarity which in turn makes us vulnerable and highly susceptible to manipulation and deception.
There are going to be days you face challenges. There are going to be days you wish you did not get out of bed. There are going to be days that your emotions get the best of you. There will be days where every moment feels like a test. There will be days where every moment seems like it went wrong.
In days like these…take a deep breath, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale and repeat as many times as needed. Then I encourage you to take a moment to yourself and begin to pray. Allow yourself grace.
You are probably looking at the title of this blog and wanting to know how you can be a more productive you in a lot less time. Seems these days that more and more to do tasks are being put on our laps. We are literally running the hamster wheel trying to stay on top of life’s demands. It almost feels as though we are never truly catching up to what is being asked and required of us. We fall into the trap of striving quite a bit until we become quite unglued and we cannot handle ourselves any longer! We become our own worst enemy, but the intent was truly good.
