Success: Overcoming The Pit Falls (Part II)

Hi friends! Last time we were talking about success and creating results. The journey to creating results can seem so smooth until a pit fall comes your way. A pit fall is something that must change in you first in order to move forward and create the life you truly desire. Lets take a look and see which one of these pit falls best describes you and how you will overcome it.

The first pit fall is false pride and ego. False pride and ego is over-estimating and compensating your abilities. When you size up your competition to match their credentials, when you obsess to be better than everyone else and strive to achieve results, when the results and success that you have aren’t good enough, when you think you are already better than everyone else and don’t need any more skills and training because you already know it; these are all classic signs of false pride and ego. Just remember one thing, pride always comes before a fall.

A Word Of Encouragement….

Hey friends, just had a really amazing aha moment this morning while reading my daily reading plan. As I was reading, I came to the realization of something. When our character becomes defamed, attacked, criticized, ridiculed; it is not our job nor should we feel the need to defend ourselves nor our character. When we have the character of Christ Jesus, we already know His nature and that He has a plan for our life. When we realize this, we no longer have a need to be approved by others because we are His children, signed and stamped with approval from the moment He created us. When you face the attack, keep your eyes on Him and remain on the offense.

From Banquet To Feast (Part I)

Recently I attended my first leadership banquet with our church. Once a year, this is a time that those that ‘serve’ in our church are honored for their volunteering and their dedication to the church. This is a great time of fellowship, laughter, food, and gratitude in our hearts.

It was a wonderful time to grow and learn more about one another and where the church is wanting to go for the upcoming year. When I was driving home from our church, however, the Lord began speaking to my heart. I almost feel the name of the banquet had something to do with being servants and here is why. I want you to follow with me on this for a second.

In Lieu Of What’s Missing, Prosper Anyway!

Hey friends! I was just thinking about you and realized that I hadn’t done a blog post dealing with food and time management in a REALLY LONG time. I was inspired to write this tonight after I made a special treat for my family and it dawned on me to share this with you.

Do you want to be entrusted with more territory? I know I do! It starts with being entrusted with the little things even in your pantry/kitchen. Our family wants to be increased with more and it’s really been laid on my heart to truly be sure we are not wasting food by throwing it away because it got too old and we didn’t eat the leftovers or some of it started getting moldy so I threw it out, that kind of thing. I must confess, in the past this is what happened in our house from time to time even though I have been diligent in meal planning and shopping with what is only on our list! I really was convicted to stop letting cash go in the trash, especially when it came to food!
