Hi friends! Last time we were talking about success and creating results. The journey to creating results can seem so smooth until a pit fall comes your way. A pit fall is something that must change in you first in order to move forward and create the life you truly desire. Lets take a look and see which one of these pit falls best describes you and how you will overcome it.
The first pit fall is false pride and ego. False pride and ego is over-estimating and compensating your abilities. When you size up your competition to match their credentials, when you obsess to be better than everyone else and strive to achieve results, when the results and success that you have aren’t good enough, when you think you are already better than everyone else and don’t need any more skills and training because you already know it; these are all classic signs of false pride and ego. Just remember one thing, pride always comes before a fall.
Last time we met friends, we were discussing, what it means to be more like-minded in Christ. What does like-minded in Christ mean for our lives?? If we choose to be more like-minded, He abides in us so we are no longer relying on our own strength to accomplish and create results, we are instead relying on His strength and trusting His timing for the results, for the promotion, for the life changes! In the meantime, He is guiding, steering, and directing us!
What release of FREEDOM! We don’t have to figure anything out! We can choose to take the pressure off of ourselves to perform altogether! Why? Because, He has us in the palm of His hand and as His child, He is nurturing us and teaching us what we need to know, so when the time comes for the promotion, we are passing the test with flying colors. All the seeds we sowed into the ground, all the time we spent learning, has now paid off in dividends and we are reaping a bountiful harvest IF and only IF we wait on Him to produce that fruit in our lives. We just have to be willing to ‘be’ and ‘be led’ by Him! That simple, He does the rest!
Our society teaches us to look, feel, live, and exist a certain way. We are taught that we are to keep up with the Joneses as much as possible. To think it’s no wonder we live under such stress and pressure to conform. Are societal norms truly worth it? Doing the same thing as everyone else, to follow and have to keep up with trends, is the true definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again with no resolve; life will continue to evolve, therefore the rat race to keep up will continue in a vicious cycle. A great analogy of this is a hamster in a wheel that has its sight on a destination but never gets there, because the ball causes it to go back and not forward; the plastic is an illusion of what is truly in its foresight. Are we under a similar illusion?
