Hey friends, I was thinking of you and came across this powerful message from one of my mentors, Sandi Krakowski. This message really hit home for me and I wanted to share with you; especially considering that our time should be purposed and mindful. Time is a valuable when you have a family, or have commitments, obligations, etc. If you are wanting to learn about purposing the time you do have available, please feel free to read this informative message!
Time has a way of passing us by whether we are ready for it or not. We could sit down and plan an entire agenda or advise a plan as to how to best be prepared for the annual, good ole’ time change. We can spend a day or a few weeks preparing our bodies for adjustment. We can go to bed an hour earlier or set our alarm until the last possible second before we have to wake up. We could even day of hit the snooze alarm 5 times because it meant we lost an hour and our bodies crave a moments more time of sleep.
Transition between time changes no matter what part of the country you are in can be quite the challenge. Our bodies have had a whole season to adjust to our own routines and now we are interrupting that cycle to add an hour of daylight in. What do we do with that hour, do we sleep or do we wake for that extra hour of productivity? After all, how we use our time is something entirely up to us. We have a choice in the matter and we should be empowered to tell our time where it needs to go. Sure, time can be an adjustment. Our whole lives, however, we are going to ‘have’ to make adjustments. Why? Life happens! We are faced with decisions that will need our attention daily, weekly, monthly! We must choose how we respond to the demands or constraints that time gives us.
